I do not own a home and I don’t have a lot of cash assets, should I still have a Trust?

The answer is YES!  I love Trusts for so many reasons, not just because they protect you from Probate!  My favorite thing about having a Trust is that I know that my minor children will be cared for if anything were to happen to me.  By setting up a Children’s Trust, I can name successor trustees that can access my bank accounts, retirement accounts and life insurance to care for my children in the event of my death or incapacity.  You may have both you and your spouse named on your accounts, but what if something happens to both of you?  Having your accounts titled in the name of your Trust allows you to name as many successor trustees as you would like who have the power to manage and control your assets in the event of your death or incapacity.  Interested in learning more about the benefits of Trusts?  Give us a call to set up a free 20 minute consultation!
